Author Biography

  • Dr Harald Jainta

    Harald Jainta was born in 1963 and grew up in Adorf, Germany. As a biochemist he
    made his PhD at the University of Halle in 1994. His private passion to study the genus
    Lithops in nature began in 2003 and he was accompanied by his wife Anja on all of the
    following 25 field trips. Together they documented so far 740 Lithops colonies. Living
    in Quickborn/Hamburg, he publishes taxonomic and historical articles about the genus.
